Apple's iOS 14.5 is the biggest update to your iPhone since iOS 14. The new software features over 40 features and changes, including 217 new emoji, controller support for PS5 and Xbox Series X, and battery calibration for the iPhone 11 line. Now, Apple is inching closer to the finish line with 14.5 beta 7.

Apple seeded developers the seventh beta for iOS 14.5 (build number 18E5198a) today, Wednesday, April 7. This beta comes one week after Apple released 14.5 beta 6 to developers and public testers. Apple also released 14.5 public beta 7 three hours after dev beta 7. If you're a public beta tester and not a registered iOS developer, this is the beta update you'll see on your iPhone.

At this time, it appears beta 7 is a minor update, likely adding only under-the-food changes to iOS 14.5. Even according to Apple's release notes, there's not much to see here. We will continue to update this post, as well as our 14.5 feature roundup, with any discoveries we make.
